Customs

Visitors coming into Cayman may bring in any personal items for use during their vacation duty-free, including laptop computers, books and camera equipment. Please be aware the some gifts may be subject to duty charge.

Any visitors over the age of 18 may also bring in upto 1L of alcohol, 4L of wine, or 1 case of beer and 200 cigarettes, or 50 cigars, or 250 grams of tobacco.

Residents (non-visitors) returning to Cayman are allowed up to CI$350 worth of goods duty-free.

Moving to Cayman?
Anyone moving to the Cayman Islands for employment or residency purposes can ship personal and household effects, duty free, for up to 12 months. Household effects that fall into this critiria must have been in use or owned for at least 6 months.
