The cost of living is higher in the Cayman Islands than in the United States or the UK. Most commodities have to be imported onto the island and are subject to freight, insurance and duty fees.

Rent is also relatively higher than that of that States or the UK, although most of the houses do come fully furnished.

The cost of gas is higher than the States although lower than in the UK.

Electricity and Water are higher than in both the States and UK.
