The Cayman Islands is an easy decision when it comes to choosing your perfect Caribbean island on which to buy real estate, there after the narrowing down process may be a little harder! The first step will be to decide which of the three Cayman Islands you wish to house your Caribbean getaway whether that is Grand Cayman, Little Cayman or Cayman Brac.

Grand Cayman

Each of the three Cayman Islands has a distinct personality; Grand Cayman the largest of the three islands is approximately seventy-six square miles and is home to the greater part of the Cayman Islands population (around fifty two thousand) as well as the capital George Town. Grand Cayman’s success has been primarily built as a world-class financial centre and of course on Caribbean tourism. Grand Cayman has many beautiful beaches the most famous of which is Seven Mile Beach one of the finest stretches of sand in the Caribbean. Seven Mile Beach has seen the greatest level of development in Grand Cayman and is home to numerous condo complexes as well as luxury beach resorts such as the Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman and the world renown Caribbean Club. Grand Cayman is known as the culinary capital of the Caribbean and is home to a large number of world class restaurants and a wide variety of cuisine styles. Where to buy in Grand Cayman? can probably be more easily answered by first answering the question what? For example if you have decided on a beach front condo then this will lead you in a different direction than if you desire a canal front house and the requirements of a resident buyer will vary from those buying a vacation home and looking for a rental income component. Little Cayman

Little Cayman is by far the smallest of the three Cayman Islands but what it lacks in size it certainly makes up for in sheer natural beauty. It exudes a quintessential laid back Caribbean island feel but also offers a high level of infrastructure and technical connectivity. It is located approximately sixty eight miles north east of Grand Cayman, is about ten square miles and has a population of around two hundred and fifty most of which have some connection to tourism and in particular the world class scuba diving Little Cayman has to offer. The real estate in Little Cayman is mainly made up of beach front houses but also includes beach front condos.

Cayman Brac

Cayman Brac, thus named for the impressive bluff running along its centre offers a rugged beauty unmatched by Grand Cayman or Little Cayman. It lies in the Caribbean Sea approximately eighty one miles north east of Grand Cayman and just five miles off the south east coast of Little Cayman. It has an area of approximately fourteen square miles and a population of around two thousand. There are a few sandy beaches but most of the coast line is also more rugged and stony, Cayman Brac offers excellent scuba diving, hiking trails, rock climbing and caves for exploration. The real estate market in Cayman Brac is made up of variety of residential homes some on the water others on the bluff, there are also a few condo complexes.
